Building software, businesses, and a life worth building.
I’m Toni Ismail. I lead a team of six engineers at Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, where I built and run the single sign-on that more than 3,000 colleagues use to reach 50+ internal applications. Alongside the day job, I build small businesses in my city — and the software that runs them.
Software
Nearly four years of production backends at PUSRI, the last two as Development Team Lead. My specialty is identity and access — the quiet layer that decides who gets in, and what they can touch once they do.
Enterprise Single Sign-On
One identity for every internal application: Keycloak realms mapped to the company’s org chart, OpenID Connect checked at each service, and passkeys or WhatsApp OTP for people away from a desk.
3,000+people across 50+ apps
Portal Logistik API
The procurement backbone — proposals, vendor technical evaluation, winner selection, SLA monitoring and SAP sync — built as one modular monolith.
338endpoints, 54 domain models
SIIRU
Routine-investment monitoring from proposal to disbursement, with an audit trail on every value that changes. Built from scratch and live in under five months.
68endpoints across 12 modules
SIHPP
Cost of goods manufactured for urea, ammonia and NPK — projections, actuals and every cost component in between.
3product lines, one backend
Day to day that means Go and TypeScript, PostgreSQL and SQL Server, Docker, and a GitLab pipeline where every merge passes a SonarQube quality gate before it ships. Read the full CV (PDF)
Businesses
Small businesses in Palembang and online, running on software I write myself. They keep my engineering honest: the users are my customers, and every bug has a price in rupiah.
Es Teh Mas Toni
Sweet iced tea, brewed fresh every day with real sugar. Behind the counter runs a system I built: sales and expense books, cash and QRIS balances, and a Ramadan donation drive that publishes every rupiah collected and given out.
Pempek Mas Toni
Pempek — Palembang’s own fish cake — sold under my name. I’m building its online store: QRIS payment, same-day delivery around the city, and frozen shipping beyond it.
Ismail Laundry
A neighborhood laundry with pickup and delivery. I designed, built and run the system behind it — orders, installment payments, loyalty and staff attendance — for 80+ active customers and 950+ transactions so far.
Panggih
Digital wedding invitations in twenty-five original themes. Couples fill in their details once, every guest gets a link with their own name on it, and RSVPs come in by themselves. One payment by QRIS, no subscription.
A life worth building
The third thing I’m building gets the least screen time. I try to run it on the same habits as the other two: small steps, written down, checked against reality.

How I work
Verify, don’t assume.
Performance claims get measured; security claims get a negative test. A check that finds nothing has to prove it could have found something.
Leave it runnable.
Every phase ends with software that builds, passes its checks and runs. No big-bang releases.
Write it down.
Decisions and deviations go into the document, with the reason. Every API I ship comes with its OpenAPI contract.
No feature without a reason.
If I can’t name the customer, colleague or owner it helps, it stays out of scope.
